Tell me you’re not excited for this and I know you’ll be lying…

Unleash the superlatives: Netflix’s (s NFLX) next original content gamble is super-sized and superpowered. The streaming service teamed up with Disney’s (S DIS) Marvel TV unit to bring not just one but four superhero-themed TV shows exclusively to its service, with each show focusing on a different hero, including Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage.

Each of these shows will consist of one 13 episode-long season, and they’ll all culminate in a Defenders miniseries that brings the four heroes together. The whole endeavor will unfold over multiple years, and first episodes will be available on Netflix in 2015. These shows are a great get for Netflix in part because the content appeals across generations, speaking both to older children and comic book fans who are kids at heart.

This isn’t the first time for Netflix to team up with Disney. Netflix is already carrying a number of ABC shows…

Winter is Shit.

Right,

I’m being completely serious when I say ‘Winter is Shit’.  This is because, in just 4 days since November hit us round the face with his monstrous, blisteringly cold member, I was curled up on the sofa in not one, but two blankets as well as a bloody king sized duvet.  What is life?  What is my life if I have to wake up knowing that’s the best I’m going to feel all day.  It wasn’t great.  At one point I was wearing a shirt, a woolly jumper, 2 blankets and the duvet and managed to sweat all the way through to the duvet, my fever was that bad.

I had to change clothes three times in one day.  Who does that?  It was honestly as welcome as a hole in the bollock.

However, I did manage to start watching Breaking Bad which is just as satisfying as everybody says.  Alongside this, I have an exciting project coming up in the next few weeks.  A film project with a handmade video rig which I will begin production on very soon.

I’ll be floating around soon enough updating the site with everything to do with this project and more.

Anyway, I need a poo.

Festival Images

Due to doing more charity work this Summer at Latitude and Reading Festivals, I’m in the process of searching for, and uploading all the pictures I can find of my adventures there.

So basically, watch this space and if not, sorry, I tried…

Hello there.

I’ve not been here for a while.  I think I may know why that is…I’m lazy.

It took me a while to come to terms with at first, but after farting in the bath one night a realization came…I need to be here.

So yes, I’m back, and the work I did over the Summer will also be here, if you keep your eyes open long enough.

Now I’m just going to the shop to get some milk…

Tom Clark’s Holy Quest

This video, for A1 Media Studies, is a documentary, showing the consequences of presenting myself with the challenge of trying to create my own religion.

It was a lot of fun, and a lot of people gave me some dodgy looks, especially the big, bald tattooed fellas. But at the end of the day, I was wearing a Fez hat and shouting “Annyeong will not bum you!” through a megaphone.

Gotta break a few eggs to make an omelette, I suppose…

DOCUMENTARY – WEEK 3

Finally, everything came to an end this week.  The shoot wrapped and celebrations were had by people across the globe.  Well, the three/four of us in the crew at least.

It was eventful.  First of all, the hymn was written and recorded.  Yes, you can check that out on the website (annyeongreligion.wordpress.com).  That was a laugh, but I feel even more guilty every time I listen to it.  I shouldn’t really be able to get away with shit like this, but it’s for coursework so who cares.

The website gained its fair share of followers over the course of the week, and interest sky rocketed to about 15 people (new record).

Also, we filmed a title sequence where I got smacked in the face by a Devil’s trident, with it being all religious and stuff.

The main thing, however, was the street demonstration.  Yes, we took to the streets with Fez Hats and megaphones, partaking in a bit of vandalism.  The picture can be seen at the bottom, it’s part of the demonstration.  Shouting through the megaphone I felt like the biggest penis in the world, but it was a right laugh.  People did not enjoy my company in the middle of Plymouth, probably because they did not enjoy being shouted at.

Anyway, apart from that, the ending was as expected…I don’t want to spoil it but nobody turned up.  However it was a still a success…

Keep your eyes out for the finished product after Easter!

DOCUMENTARY – WEEK 2

The second week of my Documentary was a laugh.  It’s starting to become more and more ridiculous now.  My Holy Quest is becoming real, and I’m scared I will fall for it myself.  If this happens, the whole world will have to question itself.

It started with me finally hitting the streets.  That was…hard.  It felt wrong to be preaching about this false religion, and worse trying to be convincing about it.  I don’t think all those Gods up there are too happy with what I’m doing, it rained a lot.

That being said, I gave away a grand total of 3 leaflets.  Yes.  I slept easier this week knowing that I had at least in some way interested 3 people into becoming followers of this religion.

When that bit wrapped, I created the website, unfinished as of yet, but still available.  Here’s the link for it: http://annyeongreligion.wordpress.com/ I intend to put a few more pictures up and a link to soundcloud which will have my hymn on it.

Lastly I then got one of my mates involved.  Lovely chap, bit tall, but nevertheless handy.  We put on make up and silly hats to make it look like we believe in something we don’t.  So armed with eyeliner a fez hat and a megaphone, next week will be the big one.  People will be annoyed.  Here’s a set photo for the time being of me in full garb.  Enjoy.

Documentary – Week 1

So I’ve started shooting for my Documentary, Tom Clark’s Holy Quest.  Been a pretty productive week so far.

Day 1 saw me shooting my introduction scene, outside a big church naturally, and explaining to the audience what my project entails.  For those of you who don’t know, I’m seeing if it is possible to create my own religion over the course of a month.  Hilarity will definitely ensue.

Glorious sunshine blessed my first shoot, probably a message from Christian God himself,or Allah or one of them anyway, approving of my religious venture.

I also managed to research some consistencies in various other religions in order to have the basic groundwork for my own.  With my Bible next to me for inspiration, ideas flowed from my now spiritual brain.

The first step was to create a Holy Text.  Or a brief overview of my religion anyway.  Included in this text is the story of Annyeong (my God, it means ‘Hello’ in Korean by the way…) and how he should be praised.  Naturally, Annyeong’s 6 Holy Rules of Life are also included (sort of like the 10 Commandments, but any morality is non existent in it).  I’ll give you an example of one of these rules, ‘Killing is unacceptable unless it’s for the right amount,’  Yeah, I know…

Finally, the week concluded with me printing off these texts and reading a segment of it to the camera.  It’s all going according to plan.

With a couple of cutaway shots and a title scene in early preparation it’s starting to come together nicely.  Oh, and my megaphone turned up.  Yeah, there’s a megaphone in it…
